With the current snow in Tasmania now is the time to get your team some valuable snow driver training!
The objective of this training is to provide valuable experience driving in snow/ice under the supervision of one of Performance Driving Australia’s experienced advanced driver trainers. Briefings are provided before the trip and during various stages.
Content covered includes –
- Preparing a vehicle for snow driving
- Safety equipment to carry
- Trip planning
- Driving on wet roads/ice and snow
- Water/muddy terrain
- Dealing with other road users and right of ways
- Stopping and starting
- Electronic Driving aids and how they work on snow/ice
- Driving techniques
- Basic recovery

- Snow chains and if you need them
The program will take drivers on a trip that covers snow roads and snow tracks (off road).
A 4WD is required for these trips. AWD vehicles can be used but may not be able to complete the off road sections (please discuss with us).
Available subject to weather conditions (obviously!) – currently we can deliver this with a short lead time (24hrs).
All cars will be provided with a two way radio for convoy driving.
If you would like to book or have any questions please call us today. Training can commence in Hobart, Launceston, Burnie or Queenstown or in other venues around Australia (when it snows!).
